Routes to suit you
We offer self-guided trips of 25 to 75 km or more, starting from Chiny.
The complete Chiny → Bouillon route takes 3 to 4 days to complete and passes exclusively through protected natural areas.

🍂 In autumn and winter: possibility of starting from Tintigny (+ 25 km) between October 1 and March 15

Meet at Le Batifol chalet, just at the entrance to Le Canada campsite, near Pont Saint-Nicolas in B-6810 Chiny.
🚗 Free parking and easy access to the banks of the Semois.
🕙 Departures between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
💶 Rates - reservation and payment
💰 €35/day/person to Bouillon (two people per canoe, minimum two days and two people)
This price includes:
🛶 the boat | 🦺 life jacket | 🪣 waterproof container | 🛻 return trip by minibus on the last day

💳 Payment on site (cash or card).
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid on site.

🏕️ Stops and accomodations during your canoe and kayak trips on the Semois.
The stopovers are flexible: paddle at your own rhythm
Depending on what you feel like doing, you can stop at a nearby campsite to relax, or paddle a little further.
🚫 Wild camping is prohibited. On average, allow for 20 km per day (≈ 5 km/h).
The Chiny → Bouillon route is usually done in 3 stages:
1️⃣ Chiny → Chassepierre – ± 25 km
2️⃣ Chassepierre → Linglé – ± 22 km
3️⃣ Linglé → Bouillon – ± 25 km
Camping Le Canada in Chiny is ideal for the first night before your departure or after your hike.

🥪Refreshments and return journey
Campsites sometimes offer:
🍽️ a restaurant or cafeteria service,
🚿 bathrooms with hot showers, and sometimes a small supply of food and drink.
However, please remember to bring your own water and food.
The return trip by minibus (7, 8, or 24 seats) is included in the price.
⏰ Return to the starting point before 6:00 PM.
🧳 Equipment provided for canoe or kayak trips on the Semois River
Equipment included for your adventure on the Semois:
🛶 Canadian canoes (or single/double kayaks) perfectly suited to the Semois
🪣 Waterproof containers to keep your personal belongings (tent, clothes, food, etc.) dry
🦺 Life jackets available free of charge, mandatory for children under 1.20 m and non-swimmers
👨👩👧 One child aged 12 or under can ride free in a canoe with two adults (maximum 3 people per boat).
🕐 Sailing times
🗓️ October 1 → June 14: kayaks permitted between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
🗓️ June 15 → September 30: kayaks permitted between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
⚠️ Navigation depends on the water level.
